Doug Wolfe (drums, percussion)

Doug Wolfe is one of the most consistent drummers in the Philly area. He currently sits on the throne for The Rob Dickenson Band, Good Foot and Dam Mad. Doug graduated from college with a degree in Actuarial Science. Huh? The master of the beat did not start playing the drums until the advanced age of 26. His first drum instructor was Get Right drummer, Tom Stevenson. He also took lessons from Get Right’s first drummer, Pete Cruickshank.

Doug became a professional drummer in the 80’s. In his first band he coupled with his current rhythm section mate, Mick Rast, to form MI6. This band tore up the local original music scene for many years. His next venture was drummer for The Idle Wilds. In this group, he got to travel and open for such acts as The Plimsouls, Big Star and The Verve Pipe. The Idle Wilds’ CD was produced by John Hampton who produced such mercurial bands as The Gin Blossoms and ZZ Top.

Doug is back with his companion in keeping the beat, Mick Rast, as the drummer for The Rob Dickenson Band. This distant relative of Clark Gable is newly married and living in one of West Chester’s few haunted houses.
