New projects abound...

There are so many changes that I have embraced in the last year. 2012 will be an exciting year for us, so keep your eyes and ears open... The Rob Dickenson Band is in full gear. My friend and cohort, Jim Littmann, has his health back and is in fine musical form. Mick Rast is still pickin' and grinnin'. We will be on the scene with a slightly different sound for 2012. There will be plenty of new songs by yours truly, plus we will be covering the greats of the 1960's. All of your favorites, but some that may have slipped your mind. On some gigs, we will expand the band with some of the area's best drummers.

During the summer months, there will be reunions of both Get Right and Life After Elvis. We will do our old ones and some new tunes from myself, Billy Burger and Billy Fries. Should be a blast!

I will be showcasing a performance of my soon to be published children's book, "Lady Bug's Shelter". I will also be presenting my 3 hour show, "A Tribute to American Music". It is a seven musician show that starts with Stephen Foster and goes until the punk movement of the mid-1980's. The show will be in chronological order with every style of music of the past 130 years.

Please come out and check us out in one or more of our many forms. Music and words. They are my bridge to the world. Meet you on the bridge. — RD

SATURDAY AFTERNOON JOY

Saturday afternoon. Don't want to play baseball in the hood. If I stay home, I will have to cut the grass. Why can't the lawn grow wild anyway? The solution is clear. Get a five spot from Dad, have him don his chauffeur hat, hop in the Hudson Jet and head to town for a mid row, mid section seat in the Warner Theater for a Saturday Afternoon Sci Fi triple feature .... He knew that if you could put the same smiling faces on the tube at the same time every day, you would have the first artistic assembly line..." Read More
